either…or…
談 either…or…
either A or B:A 或 B(兩者擇一),
neither A nor B:A 和 B 都不是(兩者皆否)
either A or B + 動詞
- Either Jack or Mary has the car key.
- Either Jack’s brothers or Mary’s sisters have the car key.
- Either Jack or his sisters have the car key.
- Either Mary’s sisters or Jack has the car key.
neither A nor B + 動詞
- Neither Jack nor Mary has the car key.
- Neither Jack’s brothers nor Mary’s sisters have the car key.
- Neither Jack nor his sisters have the car key.
- Neither Mary’s sisters nor Jack has the car key.
- Either the left or the right is okay with me.
- Either Jack or his parents own the car.
- Neither Jack nor Mary likes to eat apples.
- Neither James nor I graduated from high school.
(James
A: Who’s picking up Grandma, you or Dad?
B: Either Dad or I am going. Neither of us is free before five, though.
