A affect(s) B
結構:have an effect on + 名詞
例句:
affect(影響 → 動詞)
The heavy rain affected the traffic in Taichung.
Don’t let one bad grade affect your mood.
effect(結果、效果 → 名詞)
Coffee has a strong effect on Cushy. He can’t sleep at night.
Kushiko practiced speaking every day, and the effect was amazing.
(Kushiko
👉 effect 前面常有 a、an、the,或 side effect(副作用)、special effects(特效)這類搭配。
❌ The weather effected my plans.
✔ The weather affected my plans.
❌ Stress has a bad affect on your health.
✔ Stress has a bad effect on your health.
會話:
A: Did staying up late affect your test?
B: Yes. I think the effect was pretty obvious. I got a 60.
想說「去影響」這個動作 → affect(動詞)
想說「影響的結果、效果」→ effect(名詞)
小口訣:A 是 Action(動作),E 是 End result(結果)
